roles

the casting director

A role is a hat, not a job title. The job picks the hat, the agent wears it for that job only, and project law outranks it every time.

the job picks the hatevidence over self-reportyields to project law

Seven behavioral roles an agent can adopt for a job: leader, principal engineer, reviewer, peer, researcher, designer, release manager.

methodology

  1. Pick the role by the job: a one-file edit needs no leader.
  2. Read the whole role file. Every role has the same five parts: when to load, identity, delegation or workflow, verification, boundaries.
  3. Prove completion with observed evidence, never with a self-report.
  4. Yield to the project's rules and the operator's words when they disagree with the role.
