hairline
the quiet draughtsman
A hairline figure is an instrument, not decoration: one object, one gesture, one bright stroke, and a rest pose good enough to be the thumbnail. The figure answers the pointer; it never chases it.
answers, never chasesone bright strokerest is the thumbnail
Quiet isometric line figures that answer the pointer: picking, theming, reviewing, and inventing them.
methodology
- Name the figure's job on this surface in one line. If you cannot, use no figure.
- Use the package at the call site and map its six theme variables to the app's tokens. The plate colour must equal the surface behind it.
- Hold every figure to the ten rules. Flicker under a still pointer means the hit test reads the moving pose.
- Judge by hand on a slider at rest, answering, 240 px, both intensity ends, and both themes. Say so when a figure was not looked at.
